Looking Back at 2012 and Moving Ahead to 2013

Mayra, Manuel, Ted and Susan Organics Unlimited

It has been a wonderful year for Organics Unlimited, and it is all thanks to you, our loyal and amazing customers. We wanted to write and say thank you and reflect on how far we have come this past year. There has been great movement within our company and it wouldn’t have been possible without your help.

Over the course of 2012, Organics Unlimited has been campaigning four key messages that promote quality, healthy lifestyles, GROW, and sustainability. Each quarter, we have utilized a famous quote by a historic figure that represented the ideals of each message. Throughout each quarter we integrated each quote in our marketing with great success.

Organics Unlimited not only introduced a bright new marketing campaign, but also fully redesigned websites for both the company and GROW. Each website has been improved to create more user-friendly interactivity. GROW was given its own website to branch off and focus more on the consumer side while the Organics Unlimited’s website maintains business communications.

GROW Month was just as successful as ever. Many retailers pushed our company’s nonprofit arm while consumer awareness grew. Our total year end donations have come to reach almost $68,000. We would like to take this chance to thank everyone who has made the effort to donate to our cause. You can head on over to the International Community Foundation’s website to donate today!

As for the blog, you can see that we have continually kept up each week to provide useful information to increase sales and generate new ideas to bring to your produce marketing in stores. Organic Odes has also established a recipe column that promotes the use of food demos to drive interest with fun, new recipes each week.

For retailers and distributors interested in obtaining resources to help promote our produce, we have developed a brand new online store that allows you accessibility to our merchandising point-of-purchase materials. As for our continual growth as a company, this year we have branched further east into Texas, and we will continue to expand our outreach to other distributors across the United States and around the world. Our partnership with Japanese retailers remains as strong as ever, and we look forward to providing others with all that we have to offer.

The $1 Trillion (and Growing) Sustainable Economy

Cost less, mean more
“Cost less, mean more” struck home for me because it aligns with economic theory which defines consumer procurement as a process of choosing between short-run trade-offs of comparative prices, convenience, the safety of loved ones and self-indulgence. This decision-making process is heavily influenced by a person’s income and job security. The Economics equivalent of “cost less, mean more” is consumers buying products based upon the “bang for the buck.” Continue reading
